The Fall 2007 issue of the International Journal of Digital Evidence (IJDE) has been posted. This issue contains three articles.
Ibrahim M. Baggili, Richard Mislan and Marcus Rogers present a database-driven approach to mobile phone forensics tool testing. They propose a database to store the results of an acquisition testing process. At a later time the database may be used to calculate tool error rates.
Derek Bem and Ewa Huebner examine the role of virtual environments, like VMware, in forensic investigations. According to their paper the combined usage of both, virtual and real environments, may lead to more findings in less time than the conventional examination process.
Pavel Gladyshev and Andreas Enbacka apply the B-method of software development to the domain of computer forensics.
