FTK 2.0 will be based on Oracle Database

In a press release AccessData announces that version 2.0 of its Forensic Tool Kit (FTK) will be based on an Oracle database.

According to AccessData this will reduce processing times from days down to hours or even minutes. In addition the new program design will allow multiple views on the same case. Examiners will be able to share bookmarks and notes on a case.

07/03/2007: A presentation by AccessData's CFO Eric Thompson provides some use-cases and also informs about the hardware requirements for FTK 2.0.
